Full Day Training Course - only £295!

I offer a full day training course covering everything from the standard full-day course that you need to know to be safe whilst towing your caravan!

This course is for the driver who is new to caravan towing and consists of a full day of training, covering practical caravan towing (including a practical driving route on a variety of roads), along with lessons on caravan safety and the laws on towing. Certificate included!

This full day course is priced at only £295.00 for one person or £330.00 for two people.

Half Day Training Course

For those with previous towing experience I offer a half day caravan towing and safety course to help you enjoy your caravan safely. This course includes safe driving skills on major and minor roads, reversing, parking and levelling. Please note the half day course does not include motorway or dual carriageway driving.

Certificate included on completion!

This half day course is priced at only £230.00 for one person or £265.00 for two people.

Condensed Caravan Training Course

This Caravan Training Course is for the driver who is new to caravan towing and consists of a condensed full day of training, covering practical caravan towing along with lessons on caravan safety and the laws on towing with a certificate on completion.

This condensed course is priced at only £260.00 for one person or £295.00 for two people.

What's included?

Training is completed using your own vehicle.

Alternatively, training can be undertaken using my vehicle at an additional charge to cover fuel (dependent upon course taken). My vehicle is a Toyota Invincible with a reverse camera to assist with coupling and uncoupling. I have a choice of twin or single axle caravans.

What does the course cover?

• Uncouple & re-couple and how to set up on site
• Complete site set up practical covered on full-day course
• Legal requirements and safety advice
• Reversing and parking the caravan
• Complex reversing manouvres covered on full-day course

A minimum 60 mile road trip that includes:

• Motorway driving (subject to training location)
• Dual carriageway driving (subject to training location)
• Driving on hills
• Driving on country roads
• Town driving

Training in your own vehicle

There are many beneficial reasons to use your own vehicle during training:

• You are used to how your vehicle 'feels' and will therefore be able to feel the difference when towing the caravan.
• The steering lock is different on all vehicles so after the course you will have a better feel for when to steer while reversing the caravan in your own vehicle.
• You will become accustomed to the level of visibility in your own vehicle whilst towing and reversing before towing independently, e.g., new blind spots etc.
• If you have a manual vehicle, you will get experience on when to change gear while towing on hills etc.

As you will be using your own vehicle during the hands-on reversing and driving sessions, please remember to bring your additional number plate, ensuring that the alko tow ball on your tow bar is clean of paint any grease etc.
